Lupicinus (comes rei militaris)

For the Catholic saint of the same name, see Lupicinus of Lyon.

Lupicinus was a Roman lieutenant of Valens in Thrace in the late fourth century AD.[1]

His reputed poor treatment of the Thervingi Goths under Fritigern led to the Gothic Wars, and the Battle of Adrianople.
