Llŷr Griffiths-Davies

Llŷr Griffiths-Davies is a Welsh weather presenter for BBC Radio Cymru. He presents the Tywydd a Teithio (weather and travel) bulletins in Welsh and occasionally acts as a relief presenter for Derek Brockway, Behnaz Akhgar and Sue Charles on BBC Wales Today and BBC Radio Wales in the medium of English.

Early life

Llŷr was born in Carmarthen, Wales. He was brought up in Rhydlewis and attended Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi.[1] He then studied at Aberystwyth University.

Career

Llŷr started at Radio Ceredigion in 1995 and presented in Welsh and English.

Trivia

Llŷr is fluent in Welsh and English.

He is known for his beard.[2]

He is the voice of the National Library of Wales elevator.

He enjoys running and promoted the Welsh Hearts Cardiff Bay Santa Dash with colleague Sue Charles in December 2015.[3]

He likes to cook and contributes recipes for the BBC.[4]
