List of rural localities in Moscow Oblast

This is an incomplete list of rural localities in Moscow Oblast. Moscow Oblast, or Podmoskovye[1] is a federal subject of Russia (an oblast). Its area, at 45,900 km2 (17,700 sq mi), is relatively small compared to other federal subjects, but it is one of the most densely populated regions in the country[2] and, with the population of 7,095,120 (2010 Census), is the second most populous federal subject.[3]
