Britney Spears is an American singer and actress. Her debut studio album ...Baby One More Time was released by Jive Records in 1999. The album spawned songs such as "...Baby One More Time", "Sometimes" and "Born To Make You Happy". Spears earned Grammy nominations for the Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance categories in 2000, eventually winning her first Grammy award in 2005 for her single "Toxic" in the Best Dance Recording category. As "Pop's Ultimate Femme Fatale",[1] she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at age 21, the youngest recording artist in history to receive the honour.[2] In 2002 Spears topped the Forbes Celebrity 100 list[3] and in 2012 she was named by Forbes as The Top-Earning Women in Music.[4] Spears received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. In 2016, she was awarded the Billboard Millennium Award.[5] She is only the third recipient of the award in its history.

Spears' accolades include one Grammy Award, six MTV Video Music Awards, eight MTV Europe Music Awards, one American Music Award, seven Billboard Music Awards, three NRJ Music Awards, three World Music Awards, one MTV Asia Awards, one MTV Australia Awards, one MTV Video Music Brasil, nine Teen Choice Awards, two Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award, two People's Choice Awards, among others. Spears has topped the list of most searched celebrities 7 times in the past 12 years, a record since the inception of the internet.[6]
