List of Yorkshire County Cricket Club players

This is a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Yorkshire in top-class matches since the club was founded in 1863. The Yorkshire teams formed by earlier organisations, essentially the old Sheffield Cricket Club, always had important or first-class status and, therefore, the county club is classified as an important team by substantial sources from 1863 to 1894;[1][2] classified as an official first-class team from 1895 by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and the County Championship clubs;[3] and classified as a List A team since the beginning of limited overs cricket in 1963.[4]

The details are the player's usual name followed by the years in which he was active as a Yorkshire player and then his name is given as it appears on match scorecards (i.e., usually his surname preceded by all initials). Note that many players represented other first-class teams besides Yorkshire. Current players are shown as active to the end of the 2015 season.[5]
