11"Ruby Rose"12:21July 18, 2013

Humans have been battling creatures known as the Grimm. They eventually discovered a power called Dust and used it to repel the Grimm and to build civilization. The result is a time of peace, but that is about to come to an end.

A group of men attempt to rob a Dust shop when they encounter Ruby Rose, a teenage girl who fights them off with a scythe. The leader flees to the roof and boards an airship while his female comrade exchanges magic attacks with Ruby and a blonde-haired woman, the latter of which is revealed to be a Huntress named Glynda Goodwitch. Glynda reluctantly introduces Ruby to the headmaster of Beacon Academy, who permits Ruby to enroll at his institution despite being two years younger than the other incoming Beacon students. Ruby later joins her sister Yang on an airship in transit to their new school.
22"The Shining Beacon"6:15July 25, 2013
Yang and Ruby arrive at Beacon Academy, but Yang quickly leaves Ruby alone to hang with friends. Ruby subsequently bumps into Weiss after knocking over some of her cases of Dust. Weiss starts scolding Ruby for this until Blake intervenes, noting Weiss is an heiress to a major energy company. Blake then criticizes the company's practices, irking Weiss. Weiss leaves in frustration, while Blake casually walks away. Alone again, Ruby then meets Jaune, who was throwing up on the airship in the previous episode. Together, they walk around the campus, showing each other their weapons, before realizing they don't know where they need to go.
33"The Shining Beacon, Pt. 2"6:39August 1, 2013
Ruby arrives with Jaune at the opening assembly and meets up with Yang. As Ruby rants about Weiss, Weiss sees her and begins scolding Ruby again. Professor Ozpin gives a brief speech at the assembly, and Glynda announces their initiation will be tomorrow. That night, the new students gather together in the ballroom with their sleeping bags. Ruby is writing a letter to her friends at Signal and laments to Yang about her trouble making new friends at Beacon. Yang encourages Ruby to become friends with Blake. Initially more interested in reading, Blake connects with Ruby's interest in books. Weiss walks up to complain about the noise and begins arguing with Ruby again before Blake blows out her candles to end it.
44"The First Step"7:36August 8, 2013
Nora wakes up Ren, and continually monologues about being teammates with him as he goes about his morning. They walk by Yang and Ruby, who are at their lockers also talking about teams as well. Instead of teaming up, Yang suggests Ruby be more outgoing and find a team of her own. In the meantime, Weiss is nearby, having a similar discussion with Pyrrha, when Jaune shows up to flirt with both of them and asks about having them on his team. After they both rebuff him, the students are ordered to head out for their initiation. At the top of a cliff, Glynda and Ozpin confirm the rumors about teams. Ozpin informs them that the first person each of them make eye contact with upon landing in Emerald Forest below is their first team member. The students are then launched into the forest by pads to begin initiation.
55"The First Step, Pt. 2"4:30August 15, 2013
The students propel through the air. While most of them are finding ways to land, Jaune is falling aimlessly until Pyrrha uses her spear to pin him to a tree. When Ruby lands she begins searching for Yang and contemplates other desirable partners, only to run into Weiss. Despite the rules, Weiss walks away from Ruby, but returns when the next person she sees is Jaune stuck to a tree. Soon afterwards, Pyrrha arrives at Jaune's location. To prove her worth to Weiss, Ruby shows off her speed. However, Ruby then seemingly disappears, leaving Weiss alone as black monsters—the Grimm—surround her.
66"The Emerald Forest"7:14August 22, 2013
Yang is walking through the forest and encounters two bear-like Grimm, Ursas. She defeats one, while Blake eliminates the other. Elsewhere, Weiss is also fighting the Grimm surrounding her, when Ruby gets in front of an attack. Weiss redirects her strike at a tree, which sets the forest on fire and forces Weiss and Ruby to retreat. After escaping, they begin arguing over how each of them handled the fight. Meanwhile, Pyrrha teaches Jaune about using his Aura, the manifestation of his soul, for protection. She explains the nature of Auras and the Grimm to Jaune and helps him unlock his Aura. During her explanation, Ren is shown battling a large snake-type Grimm, a King Taijitu, demonstrating the power of his Aura. Eventually, Ren kills the King Taijitu and its partner. After the fight, Nora appears beside him, hanging upside-down from a branch.
77"The Emerald Forest, Pt. 2"4:47August 29, 2013
Glynda and Ozpin monitor the students as they fight through the forest. Glynda expresses doubt about Jaune's ability and the effectiveness of Ren and Nora as a pair, while Ozpin focuses on Ruby and Weiss with trepidation. A displeased Weiss is pacing, unclear of the forest temple's location, and the two argue again. Elsewhere, Yang and Blake manage to locate the temple and find several chess pieces, which appear to be the relics. Meanwhile, Jaune takes Pyrrha through a cave he thinks is the temple and they encounter a giant scorpion Grimm, a Deathstalker, which bursts out of the cave and flings Jaune through the air. Back at the temple, Ruby is falling through the air towards Blake and Yang.
88"Players and Pieces"13:45September 5, 2013

The eight featured students end up meeting each other at the temple: Ruby and Weiss fall off a Nevermore (a giant Grimm bird), Nora and Ren come out of the forest after taking down an Ursa, Jaune collides with a falling Ruby and still manages to catch a falling Weiss, and Pyrrha soon appears as well, chased by the Deathstalker. Ruby initiates an attack on the Deathstalker, but the Nevermore pins her down with its feathers. After Weiss saves Ruby, she concludes that they need to cooperate. To complete the mission, the pairs collect the temple chess pieces.

In order to return to Beacon, the eight characters must now fight a battle with the two major Grimm creatures: the Nevermore and the Deathstalker. Working together, they make their way to a stone bridge crossing. However, the Nevermore rams the bridge and splits the eight characters. Eventually, the battle separates into Team RWBY vs. the Nevermore and Team JNPR vs. the Deathstalker. After some ineffective long range strikes, Ruby comes up with a plan against the Nevermore. In the meantime, team JNPR use their combined strengths to take down their enemy. Likewise, team RWBY use their combined power to pin the Nevermore and give Ruby the opportunity to behead it.

Afterwards at Beacon, the teams are ceremoniously formed, with Jaune appointed leader of JNPR and Ruby leader of RWBY. Elsewhere, Roman Torchwick is seen plotting when a henchman gives him a case of Dust crystals.
99"The Badge and The Burden"5:31September 12, 2013
The following morning, the members of Team RWBY decorate their room. After arranging their other furnishings, they fashion their beds into bunk beds. As Ruby starts to talk about classes, Weiss realizes that it is time for their first class. Immediately, the team rushes over to class, alerting the members of Team JNPR to do the same. During class, Professor Port lectures about the Grimm and starts relaying a story, while Ruby quietly kids around. Frustrated with Ruby's behavior, Weiss volunteers for the professor's test for a 1-on-1 fight against a Boarbatusk.
1010"The Badge and The Burden Part 2"6:58September 19, 2013
Weiss takes on the Boarbatusk but is often distracted by Ruby as she yells out unneeded advice. After some trouble, she takes down the Boarbatusk, and Professor Port compliments her. After class, Weiss expresses her displeasure to Ruby about her leadership position and claims that she would be better as leader. Just as Weiss leaves, Ozpin walks over and talks to Ruby. Outside the class building, Weiss talks to Professor Port in disagreement with Ozpin's choice of Ruby as the group leader, but the professor disagrees, expressing faith in Ozpin's decisions. At the end of their respective discussions, both of the girls are advised to improve their attitudes and accept their respective roles. That night, Weiss awakens a sleeping, but studious, Ruby, and this time, Weiss acts considerably nicer towards her.
1111"Jaunedice"4:50September 26, 2013
Jaune is having a staged match with Cardin in the assembly area and is soundly defeated. Following the match, Glynda Goodwich advises a dispirited Jaune about the efficient use of his aura during combat. After Nora describes a recurring dream during lunch, the other members of JNPR and the members of RWBY express concern about Cardin bullying Jaune. They point out various incidents of bullying and offer some help, but Jaune dismisses it. In the meantime, Cardin and his teammates are bullying a bunny-eared Faunus girl named Velvet. As Jaune leaves the table, Cardin is shown eyeing Jaune.
1212"Jaunedice Part 2"7:25October 3, 2013
Professor Oobleck is conducting a lecture on the Faunus War and follows up with a series of questions. Cardin gets an inattentive Jaune called upon to answer one, and Jaune struggles to answer. Pyrrha tries to signal the answer to Jaune, but he misunderstands and answers incorrectly. Cardin is asked the same question and gives a mildly offensive answer. In response, Pyrrha gives the proper answer. After class, Oobleck assigns Jaune and Cardin extra work to address their poor grades. Pyrrha talks to Jaune on the roof about his struggles and wants to help him. He responds that he does not deserve to be there, confessing that he used fake transcripts to get into Beacon. Pyrrha leaves at Jaune's request, but Cardin shows up and says he heard the confession. In turn, Cardin blackmails Jaune to be his "friend" and do his class work in exchange for silence.
1313"Forever Fall"6:09October 10, 2013
In their dorm room, Team JNPR is concerned about Jaune's recent tendency to be home late. Jaune is peeking in when Ruby comes up to Jaune from behind and asks him about he has been doing. Jaune vaguely describes his situation and says he is a failure, but Ruby tells him failure is no longer an option now that he is a leader. Jaune then receives a message from Cardin asking him to collect some wasps. The next day, the students are with Glynda Goodwitch on a class field trip to the Forever Fall forest to collect jars of sap from the trees. After Jaune does the work for Team CRDL, Cardin orders him to throw an extra jar at Pyrrha to get the wasps to go after her. Jaune refuses and throws the jar at Cardin instead, prompting the members of CRDL to grab Jaune.
1414"Forever Fall Part 2"6:08October 17, 2013
Cardin and Lark are beating up Jaune when an Ursa shows up and starts attacking Cardin, attracted by the red sap. As his teammates flee, a disarmed Cardin is left behind with the Ursa. When the fleeing members of CRDL run past the RWBY team and the other members of team JNPR, Pyrrha, Weiss, and Ruby go to help Jaune and find him fighting to protect Cardin. Weiss prepares to intervene, but Pyrrha holds her back and instead uses her magnetic ability to move Jaune's shield so that it blocks the Ursa's paw swipe and allows Jaune an opening to cut off the Ursa's head. After helping Cardin up, Jaune orders Cardin to leave his team alone. Later that night, Jaune and Pyrrha reconcile on the roof, and Jaune accepts her previous offer to train him.
1515"The Stray"10:41October 31, 2013

Team RWBY walks around the city of Vale during preparations for the Vytal Festival. Weiss leads them to the port, where a ship from one of the other kingdoms had just arrived. When they arrive, they notice the scene of a dust store robbery. The officers speculate the White Fang are responsible for the crime, though Ruby suspects Torchwick. At the mention of the White Fang, Weiss becomes incensed and gets into an argument with Blake about the group and the Faunus. In the meantime, Sun Wukong, a monkey Faunus stowaway from the incoming ship, creates a scene and runs past them while being chased by the police officers and the team follows suit, but Weiss collides into a girl named Penny. She introduces herself and says she is planning to participate in the combat tournament. Her odd behavior puts off the girls, and Weiss questions her ability.

Afterwards, Weiss remains motivated to find the "filthy Faunus rapscallion", but her attitude offends Blake. Their argument resumes and continues into the evening, even after they get back to their dorm room. Weiss then explains that the violence against her family's company is the source of her distrust and hostility. In the heat of their arguing, Blake accidentally lets slip her association with the White Fang. Fearful, she quickly dashes out of the room and goes to Beacon's courtyard. Staring at the statues, she removes her bow to reveal a pair of cat ears. In the day, the team are seen looking for Blake, who is revealed to be with Sun Wukong.
1616"Black and White"15:30November 7, 2013

Blake explains to Sun her history with the White Fang and how she was a member since she was a child, but left some time after a change of leadership five years before turned the group violent. Elsewhere, Ruby and Yang are looking urgently for Blake, though Weiss is more ambivalent. Penny appears, prompting Yang and Weiss to leave, with Ruby remaining to explain the situation to Penny and acquire her help. Blake and Sun discuss the robberies and decide to stake out a cargo shipment of Dust to see if the White Fang are really involved. That night they are watching the cargo when an airship descends. Members of the White Fang emerge from the airship along with Torchwick. Blake jumps down and threatens Torchwick, demanding an explanation for why the White Fang are working with him. A fight ensues, drawing Ruby's attention from several blocks away, and Blake and Sun fight Torchwick and the White Fang members as more airships arrive. Ruby shows up to help but is struck by a blast from Torchwick. Penny begins fighting them alone and takes down several airships, defeating most of the White Fang members as well, but Torchwick escapes in an airship.

Later, the police are on the scene when Weiss and Yang arrive. Weiss walks up to Blake and as Blake tries to explain that she is no longer a member of the White Fang, Weiss cuts her off, insisting she does not care and instead reprimands Blake for not coming to her team. Back at Beacon, Ozpin is watching a live feed of Ruby on the scene, when he receives a message from Qrow. Following the credits, Torchwick is seen at a warehouse, where he complains to Cinder and two of her associates about having to work with the White Fang, though she rebuffs his complaints and says they have big plans for him.

Before lunch, they meet Emerald and Mercury, with Emerald continuing to play the nice girl to get to know the team better, despite her true dislike of them. After learning that the next match will be fought by Yang and Weiss, the two leave, using Mercury's social awkwardness as an excuse. The team goes to the shopkeeper's noodle stand to buy lunch, but when Weiss proceeds to pay, her credit card is declined. Pyrrha covers lunch, which they all enjoy, though it leaves Weiss and Jaune with upset stomachs. Then team JNPR heads for the arena for their match against team BRNZ of Shade, with team RWBY, Cinder, Mercury and Emerald watching in the audience.

But after a long and difficult battle, during which JNPR argues over team attack names in the middle of the fight, Nora showcases her semblance of channeling electricity to her muscles and claims victory for her team by smashing team BRNZ out of the ring. The next match is team SSSN of Haven vs. team NDGO of Shade. When one half of the terrain is shown to be the ocean, Neptune begins to panic as he is afraid of water. As team NDGO gains the upper hand, Sun eventually gets Neptune to help by electrifying the ocean with his weapon, shocking team NDGO who are in the water and winning the match for team SSSN. At a bar, Qrow Branwen is seen watching the tournament matches while drinking heavily. He is unimpressed by the battles fought by teams JNPR and SSSN. When the bartender asks what battle is he in Vytal for, he points to a passing airship outside and leaves the bar. As team RWBY leaves the coliseum, Weiss spots the airship and says, "She's here..."
313"It's Brawl in the Family"16:34November 14, 2015 (2015-11-14)
Weiss and Ruby meet the occupant of the airship, Weiss' older sister Winter Schnee. Although she refuses to explain why she is at the festival or for how long, she does spend some time with Weiss. As the two attempt to leave, they are accosted by Qrow, who provokes Winter into a fight in the courtyard. During the fight, a passing Mercury sees Qrow, much to his horror. The fight eventually is interrupted by the arrival of General Ironwood and Professors Ozpin and Goodwitch, who rebuke the two of them. The group then retreats to Ozpin's office, where they discuss the imminent threat of Cinder and her group. Qrow reveals that the enemy has infiltrated the festival, and expresses concerns about Ironwood's show of military force, believing that they will only cause people to worry about what kind of enemy such an army would need to fight. Meanwhile, Mercury reveals Qrow's arrival to Cinder, but she is unconcerned, believing that they retain the advantage of anonymity. She hacks the tournament computer systems, placing Emerald and Mercury in the next fight against team CFVY members Coco Adel and Yatsuhashi Daichi.
324"Lessons Learned"14:21November 28, 2015 (2015-11-28)
The match between Emerald and Mercury versus Coco and Yatsuhashi commences, but during the fight, Coco thought she saw Yatsuhashi when really he was defeated by Mercury at the same time, and Emerald quickly eliminates Coco, resulting in Team CFVY losing in the doubles rounds. Afterwards, Weiss and Winter are eating together, and Winter teaches Weiss how to use Summoning in her Glyphs, as it is a hereditary Semblance passed down in the Schnee family. Meanwhile, Qrow spends time with his nieces, playing video games and sharing stories of his adventures with them. He then notes how ever since Torchwick was arrested, violence and crime has completely stopped, making him suspicious. He then shows Ruby and Yang a picture of his former team, STRQ, and to always keep learning if they want to succeed as Huntresses. Yang takes a particularly close look as one of the people in the picture looks remarkably like the woman who saved her from Neopolitan on the train, with Qrow trying to cover the face up with his thumb. Meanwhile, Weiss has difficulty with her Summoning, and Winter tells her that she's been in a similar situation of being cut off from her father. She then tells Weiss that she can continue to rely on her father and his money, or she can explore Remnant on her own and forge her own path. As the two bid farewell and leave, they are unaware that Weiss managed to summon a small version of the sword of the armored knight that Weiss fought in the "White" Trailer. That night, as Winter departs, Weiss again rejects a call from her father.
335"Never Miss a Beat"13:08December 5, 2015 (2015-12-05)
Penny Polendina and her teammate, Ciel Soleil, defeat Russel Thrush and Sky Lark of Team CRDL, allowing them to move forward in the tournament. Ruby goes to congratulate Penny, during which she says to Ruby that she wants to stay at Beacon. The next match is Weiss and Yang vs Flynt Coal and Neon Katt of Team FNKI from Atlas. Flynt Coal uses a trumpet capable of creating powerful shockwaves, whereas Neon Katt uses a mixture of roller-blades and nunchucks. Both Flynt and Neon engage in some pre-battle smacktalk, in hopes of making Weiss and Yang too peeved to concentrate properly. Flynt criticizes Weiss' father's Dust company for running his father's independent company into the ground, while Neon eggs Yang for the way she talks and her top-heavy figure. During the match, Weiss and Yang initially get overwhelmed by Flynt and Neon's attacks, but Weiss sacrifices herself to save Yang, allowing Team RWBY to win the battle. After the match, Flynt and Neon stop their criticisms and now congratulate the two for a match well fought. Later on, Cinder finds out about Penny being a robot and decides to make a little change to their plan. Meanwhile, Qrow asks Ozpin if he found his "Guardian", and Ozpin replies that he has found a candidate who's "ready". At the same time, Pyrrha is seen presumably heading to Ozpin's office.
346"Fall"18:20December 12, 2015 (2015-12-12)
Pyrrha is summoned to Ozpin's office and meets him, Qrow, Glynda, and Ironwood. Ozpin has her recount a fairy tale called "The Story of the Seasons", where four women befriended an old man and were granted power over the seasons in return. He explains that this tale is true and that his group wishes for her to inherit the powers of the Fall Maiden; the powers are transferred to the last person on a dying Maiden's thoughts, unless that person is a man or too old to receive the power, in which case it goes to someone random. Pyrrha is taken to a secret underground vault, where the current Fall Maiden, Amber, lies comatose; Ozpin reveals that she was recently attacked and a portion of her powers stolen. Since there is a risk of the Maiden's powers seeking to reunite itself or for her last thoughts to be on her assailant, Ozpin intends to use Atlas technology to artificially transfer Amber's Aura to Pyrrha, which is highly experimental. There is no guarantee that the process will work, nor if Pyrrha will be the same person if it does, as her and Amber's lives will be intertwined. He tells her to take some time to make the decision. Meanwhile, the one-on-one round of the tournament begins, and Yang and Mercury are chosen for the first fight. Mercury initially gets the upper hand, but an enraged Yang activates her Semblance and defeats him. As Yang turns to leave, Mercury attacks her from behind, and Yang breaks his leg. However, several Atlas robots converge to arrest Yang, and she sees the giant video screen nearby showing a replay of her attacking him unprovoked, much to Yang's surprise, the crowd's ire, and her teammates' horror. Yang complies with the Atlas soldiers, though she is frightened and confused. As a result of all of this, the Grimm surrounding Vale turn towards Amity Stadium.
357"Beginning of the End"17:01January 2, 2016 (2016-01-02)

In the past, Cinder recruits Emerald and Mercury after being impressed with their abilities. Later, the three of them offer to make a deal with White Fang leader, Adam Taurus, but he refuses. Some time afterwards, Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury ambush and attack Amber, the Fall Maiden. Initially, Amber overwhelms them with her powers and fighting prowess, but Cinder manages to get the better of her. After defeating Amber, Cinder begins extracting her powers, but Qrow arrives, forcing the three to retreat. Afterwards, Cinder returns to Adam with Dust and Lien, shows off her new powers to him, and offers him a new deal.

Back in the present day, medics rush Mercury out of Amity Colosseum after his leg gets broken by Yang in their match beforehand. Cinder then takes her henchmen back to their hideout, where it was revealed that they intended to frame Yang using Emerald's hallucination Semblance and Mercury's prosthetic legs to their advantage. Cinder and Emerald then tell Mercury to lay low as they go off to watch the next match.
368"Destiny"17:38January 9, 2016 (2016-01-09)
As a result of the incident after the match, Yang and Team RWBY are disqualified from the tournament. Yang's teammates and Team JNPR declare their support for Yang, although Blake remains conflicted; she reveals that a man she once knew changed from a kind person to a cold-hearted one in a situation similar to Yang, before similarly deciding to trust her. After they leave, Qrow arrives, having come to the conclusion that Yang suffered from a stress-induced hallucination. He confirms that Yang's mother was the one to save her during her fight with Neo and that she has no intention of doing so again. Qrow then offers to help her track her down. Meanwhile, Jaune finds Pyrrha in distress over Ozpin's request, and she asks him if he believes in destiny. She explains that she considers destiny to be an overarching goal one works towards their whole life, and that she has been offered a chance to fulfill her destiny to be a Huntress and save the world immediately at the cost of who she is. Jaune advises Pyrrha not to let anything get between her and her destiny, driving her to tears; she accidentally assaults Jaune, apologizes, and flees. Ruby encounters Velvet practicing her photography, and Velvet expresses her sympathy for Yang; she reveals that Coco also had a hallucination of Yatsuhashi during their fight with Emerald and Mercury. Suspicious, Ruby attends the next match between Pyrrha and Penny, where she sees Emerald in attendance. Ruby sneaks under the arena and encounters a fully mobile Mercury; she prepares to battle him, despite having left her weapon behind.
379"PvP"12:28January 16, 2016 (2016-01-16)
The match between Pyrrha and Penny begins, with both of their respective headmasters observing this time. Meanwhile, Ruby attempts to flee from Mercury, but he prevents her from doing so. During the match, Emerald casts her Semblance on Pyrrha, causing her to hallucinate Penny summoning hundreds of her swords. Pyrrha then uses her Semblance to deflect them all, but the wires attached to the swords start to coil around Penny's torso and arm, causing her to be brutally ripped apart. Everyone in the colosseum is horrified of the events that took place, and Cinder broadcasts a message saying this is what happens when people place their trust in the Kingdoms and the Huntsmen Academies. Meanwhile, massive hordes of Grimm start to make their way to Beacon. Neo breaks Torchwick out of prison, and he cripples Atlas' air force. The White Fang led by Adam also arrive with Grimm in tow.
3810"Battle of Beacon"16:35January 30, 2016 (2016-01-30)
As Grimm begin attacking Beacon from everywhere, Blake and Weiss contact Yang, who informs them that the White Fang have arrived as well. At Amity Colosseum, a Nevermore penetrates the protective barrier above the stadium and attempts to kill Pyrrha, who is still traumatized from what she did to Penny. Ruby then comes to her rescue, and Teams JNPR, SSSN, CFVY, ABRN, and FNKI all unite to take down the Nevermore. Pyrrha apologizes to Ruby about what happened to Penny, but Ruby says that it wasn't her fault, with Jaune adding that whoever broadcast the message was responsible for the chaos that has transpired. The students manage to reach General Ironwood, who gives them a choice -- either stay and defend their school and kingdom, or try to save themselves. Meanwhile, Torchwick begins uploading Cinder's virus aboard the Atlesian Airships, seizing control of Atlas' robots and turning them against their human allies. Ruby notices Ironwood's ship go down when the robots turn against him, and she heads for the main Atlesian Airship to stop Torchwick. Blake and Weiss split up to fight more enemies, and the former then encounters Adam. Meanwhile, Cinder's trio watches the chaos from the rooftop, with Emerald potentially showing signs of remorse. As the fight continues to escalate, a giant Grimm Dragon suddenly appears, spawning more Grimm onto the battlefield. Pyrrha breaks off from the group to join Ozpin, while a confused Jaune follows her closely behind.
3911"Heroes and Monsters"17:21February 6, 2016 (2016-02-06)
As the battle rages on, the students eventually start to get overwhelmed by the infected Atlesian Paladins. Coco allows Velvet to use her weapon, in which she conjures holographic copies of the other students weapons. Weiss arrives at the scene, and she manages to use her Glyphs to summon the Knight's arm and sword to help take down the Paladins, but it exhausts her. Meanwhile, Ruby engages Neo and Torchwick aboard the airship, in which she manages to catch Neo off guard and make her fly off the ship, but Torchwick gets devoured by a Griffon and the airship starts to crash towards Vale. Elsewhere, Blake and Adam have their duel, but Blake gets overwhelmed by him. Yang arrives to help Blake, but Adam slices her arm off, and Blake and Yang are forced to retreat. In the Beacon Vault, Ozpin starts the transfer process in order for Pyrrha to gain Amber's Maiden powers. Suddenly, Cinder arrives and kills Amber before the process could be complete, and she gains the full Fall Maiden's powers. Ozpin tells Pyrrha and Jaune to leave, while he stays behind to take on Cinder alone. Cinder comments that Ozpin is as arrogant as 'she' said, suggesting there is someone else on Cinder's team who knows Ozpin personally.
4012"End of the Beginning"28:05February 13, 2016 (2016-02-13)

As Cinder and Ozpin duel in the Vault, a mandatory evacuation from Beacon starts to take place. Sun tells Ruby that they need to go because of the Dragon, but Nora and Ren say that Jaune and Pyrrha are still in the school. Ruby and Weiss decide to go and find them. Meanwhile, Jaune and Pyrrha notice Cinder getting to the highest point of the tower. Pyrrha intends to challenge Cinder but Jaune pleads with her not to, as they both know Cinder is too powerful. Pyrrha kisses Jaune passionately before pushing him into a nearby rocket locker which sends him to safety. She then goes to duel Cinder, who has attracted the Grimm Dragon to the top of the tower. Jaune calls Weiss and Ruby in desperation and begs them to rescue her. Pyrrha battles fiercely with Cinder, but is soon overpowered. Her Aura is depleted and she is then shot in the ankle with an arrow from Cinder and is brought to her knees. Ruby arrives just in time to witness Cinder pierce Pyrrha in the chest with an arrow. Pyrrha flashes gold and disintegrates, causing a saddened and traumatized Ruby to fly into a rage. A powerful white flash emanates from Ruby's eyes and engulfs the entire area including the Dragon and Cinder. Qrow can be heard retrieving Ruby and rescuing her.

Some time later, Ruby wakes up with her father, Taiyang, at her bedside, who reveals that both she and Yang are fine, but that the Dragon has been frozen by her power and that Beacon has been overrun with Grimm. Qrow then speaks to her alone. Asking Ruby to recount what happened, it is found that she is only able to remember Cinder killing Pyrrha, whom Qrow confirms is gone. Qrow discusses Ruby's silver eyes, which are a rare trait to have as they are born to lead the life of a warrior, and that Grimm fear the presence of silver-eyed warriors. Qrow then says that Ozpin went missing ever since Beacon fell, and that his only lead is that their enemies came from Haven. Ruby then visits a despondent Yang, who tells her that Weiss is heading back to Atlas with her father, and Blake is on the run. Moreover, with the CCT in Vale down, distrust between the kingdoms is becoming more prevalent. That winter, Ruby decides to go to Haven accompanied by Jaune, Nora, and Ren. In the epilogue of the episode, a woman named Salem (Who also narrated the beginning of the first episode and the volume 2 World of Remnant episodes) reveals herself as the true mastermind of the events that transpired, and vows to take down Ozpin and "snuff out" mankind.

In a post credits scene, Qrow watches Ruby with her friends walking. Holding Ozpin's cane, Qrow jumps from a nearby cliff and a crow takes his place, flying off with Ruby and her friends.

Ruby is seen walking alone through the woods at night, until coming across a cliff where she sees a village in the distance under attack by Grimm. She hitches a ride on a Nevermore, slicing its wing off before landing in the village. She then proceeds to slay a group of Beowolves, displaying impressive new abilities. After defeating the Beowolves, she then comes face-to-face with a Beringel, a gorilla-like Grimm. Initially, Ruby struggles with Beringel as its hide is too tough for Ruby to cut through with her scythe. Their fight eventually reaches the top of a nearby church, with the Beringel smashing the floor below Ruby as she falls into the darkness of the building. As the Beringel is about to leave, rose petals start blowing out from the church. Ruby then smashes through the window at the top of the church tower and proceeds to kill the Beringel. After it dissipates, Ruby then receives a call on her scroll from the remaining members of Team JNPR: Jaune, Nora, and Ren, prompting them to hurry before she goes off to take on more Grimm. The short finishes with shots of the remaining members of Team RWBY; Weiss is seen at her home in Atlas, Blake looks across the ocean from a pier, and Yang is at home in Patch pondering her arm.
411"The Next Step"19:51October 22, 2016 (2016-10-22)
Emerald, Mercury, and a severely weakened Cinder Fall attend a meeting with Salem and her other three underlings: Tyrian, Hazel and Dr. Watts. With Beacon fallen, Ozpin apparently dead, and Cinder as the new Fall Maiden, Salem tells them that their next target is Haven. Watts is ordered to take Cinder's place to meet with an informant in Mistral, Hazel is to meet with the White Fang, and Tyrian is initially ordered to resume his hunt for the Spring Maiden, but, after Cinder's inquiry about Ruby, is instead tasked with finding Ruby and bringing her to Salem. Meanwhile, Nora and Ren are debating over whether to call their new team - consisting of themselves, Ruby, and Jaune - Team JNRR (Junior) or Team RNJR (Ranger). The four of them battle and destroy a type of Grimm known as a Geist, which can take control of inanimate objects such as rocks and trees. Once they collect their reward at the nearby village for killing the Geist, Jaune gets his armor and sword upgraded using the metal from Pyrrha's shield and armor. As Team RNJR/JNRR continue their journey to Haven Academy, Ruby starts thinking about Weiss, who is back home at Atlas with her family. At her home, Weiss is approached by her butler, Klein, who tells her that her father wishes to speak to her.
422"Remembrance"14:20October 29, 2016 (2016-10-29)
Team RNJR/JNRR heads to another village, Shion, only to discovered it burned down where a dying Huntsman reveals the village was attacked by bandits and later Grimm before succumbing to his wounds. Ren orders the team to leave the village, but he and Nora then see a marking on the ground that they both seem to recognize. Meanwhile at Atlas, Weiss goes to visit her father, Jacques Schnee, where her younger brother, Whitley Schnee, warns her that their father is currently having an argument with someone. Arriving at Jacques' office, Ironwood and Jacques have an argument as Ironwood has ordered a ban on all of Atlas from exporting Dust as part of a measure to appease the other Kingdoms who blamed the fall of Beacon on Atlas. After Ironwood leaves, Jacques orders his daughter to sing for a charity event to boost the image of the Schnee Dust Company. much to Weiss' disapproval, though she does get cheered up some by Klein. Back at Team RNJR/JNRR, Ruby has become plagued by nightmares about Pyrrha's death. She then hears what sounds like Pyrrha talking to Jaune, and investigates. She finds Jaune training, coached by a recorded video that Pyrrha had made for him. At the end of the video, Pyrrha nearly tells Jaune that she loves him, but can't find herself to say it. An emotional, but determined, Jaune rewinds and replays the video and continues training, while a saddened Ruby leaves.
433"Of Runaways and Stowaways"18:17November 5, 2016 (2016-11-05)
Blake is traveling on a passenger ship and finds herself being both guilt-ridden, as well as paranoid, when the ship's captain tries to talk with her. At her home, on Patch, Yang flips through the television channels, finding nothing but news on the aftermath of Beacon's fall, and then turning it off when she sees a news report on Adam. Taiyang returns home, bringing Yang a new bionic arm that Ironwood had given to her as thanks for her part in trying to defend Beacon. Yang, though, doesn't want to try the arm. While going through daily chores, Yang accidentally breaks a glass, which causes her to go through a brief flashback of Adam taking her arm off, horrifying her while a concerned Taiyang looks on. Back on the ship, Blake notices a cloaked figure following her around, when a massive Grimm sea monster attacks the ship. Blake hurries to fight it, and then gets joined by the cloaked figure, Sun. Together, with help from the ship's captain, they take down the monster. Afterwards, Sun talks with Blake, believing that she's going after the White Fang. Blake tells him that she's instead going back to her home, Menagerie. Sun decides to stay with her, to help protect her, in case the White Fang come after her. Back at Salem's lair, Salem asks Cinder if she truly killed Ozpin, demanding that Cinder say it herself. Cinder, with great effort, gives a very weak "Yes" in reply. Salem orders reinforcements sent to Beacon, believing that an item called "the relic" is still there. She then ponders what someone else is planning.
444"Family"16:28November 19, 2016 (2016-11-19)
A young farmer boy, Oscar, finishes his chores, then, when he looks in a mirror, he sees something unfamiliar, and Professor Ozpin's voice suddenly speaks, causing Oscar to fall over in shock. Back on Patch, Yang has another nightmare involving Adam. When she wakes up, she hears a conversation, and sees Professor Port and Dr. Oobleck talking and laughing with Taiyang, and she joins in the conversation. When Oobleck and Port ask Yang about her new arm, she's once again reluctant to try it, citing both fear and that a part of her has been lost. Port and Taiyang tell Yang that she can't let that stop her from becoming what she wants to be. Later, as Port and Oobleck leave, they ask Taiyang if he's going to try to go after Ruby, which he's hesitant to do. Meanwhile, Team RNJR/JNRR travel to the next village to stay for the night, Higanbana, and are being shadowed by Qrow, who's killing any Grimm that could attack them. While RNJR/JNRR go stay at an inn, Qrow holes up in the neighboring tavern, where a barmaid gives him a drink that was paid for by a "woman with red eyes". Qrow immediately goes upstairs and finds Raven there. In their conversation, it's revealed that Raven is the leader of the tribe of bandits that attacked Shion village. Raven also asks Qrow if Salem found the "relic". Qrow doesn't answer, and asks Raven if she knows where the Spring Maiden is. Raven doesn't respond either, and leaves, though not before Qrow warns her that they could all die if anything happens to the Spring Maiden. The next morning, Yang comes out of her house wearing her new arm, and Taiyang tells her that they can get started now.
455"Menagerie"12:38December 3, 2016 (2016-12-03)
Blake and Sun arrive in Menagerie, an island where many Faunus live. They go to Blake's home, where her father is the High Chieftain. Blake reunites with her parents, and Sun inadvertently gets on the bad side of Blake's father, Ghira, while her mother, Kali, likes him, much to Blake's humiliation. They're suddenly visited by two members of the White Fang, Corsac Albain and Fennec Albain, who wanted to meet with Ghira about the attack on Beacon. They tell him that Adam Taurus' group has become a splinter group, one that the rest of the White Fang doesn't support, and offer him evidence supporting this. Ghira politely has them leave, though not before Corsac and Fennec offer Blake the opportunity to return to the White Fang. As they leave, Corsac and Fennec are revealed to have been working with Adam all along, and they plan to tell him about Blake's arrival. Meanwhile, in Higanbana, Tyrian arrives at the pub where Qrow was staying, telling the barmaid that he's "looking for someone".

WR33"Grimm"3:36October 16, 2014 (2014-10-16)
The narrator states Grimm have been threatening humanity for as long as humanity has known with no knowledge of their origin. Grimm are noted to only target humans, with other animals only fighting them for territory, and to not require sustenance. Negative emotions are known to attract Grimm, making defense difficult as panic attracts more of the creatures. It is stated that research of the Grimm is difficult because it is hard to keep them in captivity and when they die their bodies slowly disintegrate. Finally, the Grimm are found to be capable of learning and becoming more effective killers with age.

Aura serves as a protective shield that can allow one to survive what would be a fatal blow. However, Aura drains the more it is used in battle. Additionally, Huntsmen and Huntresses have the ability to use a Semblance, a unique ability that varies between each one. With enough mastery over one's Aura, they can become more than just human...

WR51"Vytal Festival Tournament"2:40October 8, 2015 (2015-10-08)
Created as a result of war, the Vytal Festival is meant to celebrate the peace between the four Kingdoms after the Great Remnant War. Held every two years in a kingdom chosen to host it, the festival invites all those in the four kingdoms to partake in each others cultures. The Vytal Festival Tournament is the highlight of the festival, where Huntsmen from the academies spar in competition and to test their abilities. With the growth of the Academies and the improved skills of the Huntsmen, a purpose built stadium was created, the Amity Colosseum. Each kingdom contributes to the floating Colosseum, which is hailed as a showcase of both technological aspiration and a symbol of harmony between the kingdoms.
WR62"Huntsmen"2:36November 21, 2015 (2015-11-21)

Huntsman and Huntresses are considered to be the best and brightest warriors in Remnant, often outranking kingdom police and military due to their strength and skill. Established alongside the Academies after the great war, the role was hoped to produce elite warriors to stave off the Grimm. Four Academies were founded: Beacon Academy in Vale, Haven Academy in Mistral, Shade Academy in Vacuo, and Atlas Academy in the defunct Kingdom of Mantle (now known as the Kingdom of Atlas). The academies recruited graduates from various combat schools that not only show skill in defeating the Grimm, but also showing protection towards their fellow man. This translates into the formation of teams at the academies, where the traits of these trainee guardians are formed and honed: communication, empathy, and teamwork.

Once done with training, Huntmens and Huntresses are allowed to choose how they wish to work and use their abilities via mission boards. While the academies discourage the Huntsmen from being aligned to any of the four kingdoms during their training, after training the decision to align with a kingdom or village is up the individual Huntsman. Atlas Academy however, has come under increasing scrutiny in forcing a military lifestyle on their students, pressuring Huntsmen in enlisting in the Atlas Military's Special Operatives Unit, rather than allowing them to voluntarily join.

Regardless of the teaching methods, the same goal is met by each of the academies: Huntsmen and Huntresses make their own paths. Some will stay together in a team, while others will strike out on their own. And all must be expected to serve humanity and not fall into the darkness.
WR73"Cross Continental Transmit System"3:07December 26, 2015 (2015-12-26)
Initially, many forms of long-range communication were limited, be they due to the threat of the Grimm, or that mankind has not accomplished space travel yet due to inefficient use of Dust not working outside of Remnant's atmosphere. Then, came the Cross Continental Transmit System, a technological marvel provided by the Kingdom of Atlas. These towers provide wireless signals to devices like Scrolls, but the signal becomes weaker the further away one is from a relay tower. Moreover, if one of the towers is taken offline, then so does its network along with the rest of the towers.
WR84"The Four Maidens"7:02January 23, 2016 (2016-01-23)
For many years, an old wizard has lived alone in his home in the woods. One snowy day, he is surprised to see a young maiden outside his window, who introduces herself as Winter, and she was waiting for her other sisters to arrive. The old man, curious as to why she was resting under a tree, decides to rest himself as well. When the old man wakes, he sees Winter is visited by another sister named Spring, who begins planting seeds and watering a garden for the old man. Later on, they are joined by the third sister, Summer, who convinces the old man to step outside his door and embrace the world around him. As they prepare for dinner, the fourth and eldest sister, Fall, arrives to join them. The old man then asks the sisters why they decided to help him, and Fall replies it is because they are able to. In return for their kindness, the wizard musters all of the power he can, and offers it to the four sisters, granting them unique abilities. The Four Maidens are grateful to the old man and set off to share their gifts with the world, promising him that they will visit him again on a yearly basis.

WR91"Vale"2:23October 17, 2016 (2016-10-17)
Qrow introduces the audience to the world of Remnant, showing the settlements of mankind. While he acknowledges the rise and fall of many small towns, and that the Faunus have Menagerie, he primarily focuses on the four main kingdoms, starting with Vale. Vale is on the northeastern edge of the largest continent, Sanus, and is protected by the natural barriers of steep mountains and shallow oceans. It consists of the main city, which the kingdom is named after, a few neighboring cities along the northwest coastline, and the small island of Patch. But any attempts to extend the kingdom past the mountains, including Mountain Glenn, have met with failure. Vale has known a relative time of peace, but after the fall of Beacon Academy, the citizens have become worried.
WR102"Mistral"2:20October 18, 2016 (2016-10-18)
To the east of Vale lies the second largest continent of Remnant: Anima, the land of the kingdom of Mistral. Its high society is known for fashion, architecture, and theater, but the lower class is infamously known for its black market. The kingdom's people all have high respect for nature, as the first settlers made their homes on cliffs and utilized the land to its full potential. However, it is difficult to govern an enormous kingdom, which is why traitors and thieves come to Mistral to hide from authorities.
WR113"Atlas"3:12October 19, 2016 (2016-10-19)
Atlas is the youngest and most successful of the four kingdoms, set in the northern continent of Solitas. But before the Great War, its name was Mantle. While the cold climate protected the people from the Grimm, it also prevented them from flourishing. So with the aid of mined Dust, the settlers adapted to the climate and created advanced technology to survive. Mantle expanded during the war with new Dust appliances and weaponry, as new mining areas and research facilities were created. After the war, the kingdom's combat school, Alsius, was renamed "Atlas" and expanded with new Dust technology. When the kingdom's military, labs, research facilities, and residential areas moved to the school, it was decided that the capital should be moved from Mantle to Atlas. While some considered this a new golden age of prosperity, those of Mantle experienced "the coldest winter they ever knew."
WR124"Vacuo"2:58October 20, 2016 (2016-10-20)

The kingdom of Vacuo lies west of Vale, located in a desolate wasteland of Sanus. Before it was an oasis at the center of a vast desert, filled with natural resources, geographical defenses, and the largest known supply of Dust. Those who settled in Vacuo enjoyed a relative time of peace. But then they were attacked by the neighboring kingdoms and stood no chance against them. The Great War ruined Vacuo, forcing its people to live in makeshift homes and flee from Grimm attacks. A government was eventually established after the war, but it was the combat school, Shade Academy, that truly brought order to Vacuo. Its people respect one another, including the Faunus, because they believe that if you can survive the desert, then you are welcomed in Vacuo.

Qrow then concludes that Ozpin would always say that the four kingdoms are a representation of mankind is capable of when working together. He laments that they could use the Headmaster now.
WR135"Between Kingdoms"3:18November 12, 2016 (2016-11-12T20)
Qrow describes the that the areas between the "large cities" of the Kingdoms are filled to the brim with Grimm, but Huntsmen and Huntresses should be fine as long as they aren't set upon by a pack. He also describes that there are small villages between the Kingdoms, inhabited by those who don't wish to deal with life in the Kingdoms. These villages are frequently attacked by Grimm, but they get along fine as long as they have good defenses. Lastly, these villages are also set upon by groups of travelling bandits, which often burn a village to the ground, and attract Grimm, which burn the remainder of the town to ash. He says that almost every area of Remnant has been mapped, but some areas, such as the area "she" (Salem) lives in, have not been mapped, and most people don't return from there alive.
WR146"Faunus"4:40November 26, 2016 (2016-11-26T20)
To divert away from mankind and Grimm, Qrow turns his attention to the Faunus. Faunus are a group of humanoid species with each of them having a single animalistic trait. These traits can range from a cat's ears to a lizard's tail. Existing as long as mankind, the Faunus are genetically compatible with humans. If two Faunus with the same animal trait breed, they will have a Faunus of the same species. If a Faunus breeds with a human, the child will be either a Fanus or a human. If two Faunus of different species breed, then the species of the child will be random. In the beginning, humans were afraid of Faunus, either avoiding them or hunting them down. Eventually, the two races united to defend towns from Grimm attacks, but afterwards, the humans mistreated the Faunus and put them to work of slavery. After the Great War, the Faunus were given the island of Menagerie, supposedly as an apology for mistreatment. But with the Faunus packed together, it is easier for them to organize themselves and get back at the humans, thus the White Fang was created.

Nora, holding up a sign saying "NOTICE ME!", angrily agrees.
  • "Zwei Painting" - Ruby, Ren, Blake and Nora are painting Zwei as part of a painting contest judged by Weiss. Nora's painting is a crude fingerpainting rendition, Blake's portrays Zwei as a cat, and Ren's rendition is accurate and beautiful. • "Makeover" - Ren allows Nora to give him a complete makeover, but when she has finished, Ren looks exactly the same. Unbeknownst to him, Nora has actually shaved the letters "R+N" into his hair. As they exit the room, Nora turns around and winks at the camera.

Ruby plays Little Red Riding Hood, Yang plays her grandmother, Blake plays the Big Bad Wolf (because she's half-animal) and Weiss plays the axe-brandishing woodsman, with Zwei acting as stage hand. The production is plagued by Yang's attention-hogging acting, Blake and Weiss' lack of enthusiasm, and Ruby's awful writing. The play ends when Ozpin realizes that they should actually all be in class.

However, just before the race begins, Weiss freezes both Yang and Ruby's vehicles with Myrtenaster and pedals off to victory.
  • "Stand Up Yang" - Yang's pun-filled stand-up routine does not receive a warm reception. Sun upstages her with his heckling, while Yang gets dumped down a trapdoor.
  • "Jaune Ennui" - Ruby inexplicably walks in with a Beowolf stuck to her cape after a long day filled with adventure, excitement and many hijinks. Jaune laments that he feels like a "supporting character" to Blake, who obliviously confuses him with Sun.

  • "Bathroom Break" - Jaune urgently needs to use the bathroom, which is occupied by Ren. Jaune writhes in discomfort, but tries to play it off as a new fighting technique when Pyrrha walks by. Nora takes this as a compliment and enthusiastically hugs the Beowolf, "breaking" it.
  • "Upgrade Time" - Junior Detectives Sun and Neptune have had little luck catching criminals recently. They decide to get an "upgrade" and buy a load of equipment, including helmets, riot shields and police motorcycles. When Emerald and Mercury steal their bikes, Sun and Neptune desperately try to give chase, but are hopelessly weighed down by all their gear.
RC1818"Episode 18"5:21September 3, 2016 (2016-09-03)

  • "The Return of the Pickles" - Once again, Ruby struggles to open a jar of pickles. Sun offers his help, but fares no better. He suggests asking Yang for help, but Ruby tells him never to ask Yang for help with jars. However, at that moment Yang bursts into the kitchen. Yang's jar opening methods turn out to be needlessly violent and destructive.
  • "Evil Plans" - Cinder and Emerald openly draw up their "Ultimate Evil Plans" on a whiteboard in their dorm room. When they are paid an unexpected visit by the overly friendly pair of Ruby and Nora, they successfully play off their evil scheming as a recipe for cake for a kitten charity, despite Mercury at one point walking in with a "Kitten Killer 9000" rocket launcher.
  • "Butler of Cakes" - When Ruby tries to bake a cake, the privileged Weiss asks her why she doesn't simply have her "cake butler" bring her one. Ruby leaves Weiss alone in the kitchen for 5 minutes, only to find the whole kitchen on fire when she returns. When Ruby asks Weiss to help clean up the mess she created, Weiss asks her what "cleaning up" is. Ruby sarcastically tells her to ask her cake butler after spraying her with a fire extinguisher and leaves.

  • "Life of Zwei" - Ruby sees Zwei soundly asleep and says that she would love the "easy life" of a dog. Unbeknownst to her, Zwei's action-packed day actually includes saving Jaune from Beowolves, defusing bombs for Ren, finding Weiss' lost pendant and foiling the nefarious plans of Cinder.
  • "Pillow Fight" - Sun, Neptune and Ren rejoice when they find out that Team RWBY are having a pillow fight. However, they are disappointed by the melodramatic performance, complete with hammy death scenes. The three boys decide to have a dainty pillow fight of their own. Ruby disapprovingly calls them all amateurs.
RC2020"Episode 20"4:36September 17, 2016 (2016-09-17)

  • "Double Trouble" - Ruby, Jaune and Weiss meet up with an apparently silent Blake that has a flat stare. They all presume it's her, but it turns out to be an inert copy, and when Blake comes to claim it, she's left confused when Ruby, Jaune, and Weiss all continue their conversations with her from before.
  • "Zwei vs. Beowolf" - While out for a walk, Zwei and a Beowolf get into a fight, embarrassing their respective owners, Ruby and Cinder.
  • "Roman's Revenge" - Roman and Neo get ready to have their revenge on Team RWBY, but their evil plan is foiled by Zwei.
RC2121"Episode 21"3:32September 24, 2016 (2016-09-24)

  • "Friend Forever" - Ruby tells Weiss she got them friendship bracelets, but then locks them both in handcuffs.
  • "Letter to Winter" - Weiss writes a letter to Winter about the formation of Team RWBY, but has trouble coming up with anything positive to say about her eccentric team leader, Ruby.
  • "Checkmate" - Ruby and Yang play chess. When Ruby declares "Checkmate", Weiss and Blake burst into the room with their weapons at the ready, confusing it with the code name for their team attack.
  • "Cinder Who?" - Ruby forgets Cinder's last name, leading to a number of visual puns, including Cinder "Mall" (Cinder shops for casual clothes at a mall), Cinder "Falls" (Cinder falls down a flight of stairs as Mercury laughs), Cinder "Doll" (Mercury and Emerald play with a sock puppet of Cinder), Cinder "Stalls" (Cinder tries to stall Junior Detectives Sun and Neptune while the rest of her team hides her evil plans), Cinder "Lols" (Cinder laughs at Mercury and Emerald falling down the stairs) and Cinder "Bawls" (Cinder cries openly as world peace is achieved and everyone frolics about happily).

Note: The skits in this episode are all based on fan comics.

  • "Game Night" - Jaune brings a board game called Compost King to entertain his teammates, but they refuse to follow the boring rules, and instead make up their own.
  • "Security Woes" - At an airport, Cinder and Emerald get through security without an issue, but Mercury gets held up at the metal detectors and x-ray machine due to his prosthetic legs.
  • "Floor is Lava" - Ruby steadfastly claims that the floor is lava. Her teammates reluctantly play along, but Roman refuses to humor her. He immediately melts into the floor, to the surprise of everyone but Ruby, who simply says that she warned Roman.
RC2323"Episode 23"4:49October 8, 2016 (2016-10-08)

  • "A Slip Through Time and Space" - Ruby makes Nora a cup of coffee, but Ren warns her too late that Nora has too much energy and isn't allowed any more caffeine. Nora falls to the floor and slides through multiple different parallel universes where characters are swapped and things are slightly different, to finally a scene where Nora's voice actress finishes a recording session. When Nora finally regains consciousness, she finds herself stuck in a universe where Ren talks with Ruby's voice and Zwei talks with Jaune's.
RC2424"Episode 24"5:54October 15, 2016 (2016-10-15)

  • "The One with a Laugh Track" - Weiss gets annoyed at Ruby for playing with a paddle ball in the dorm while she's trying to study. Yang spies on the boys showers, but ends up "blinded" when Professor Port enters instead. Jaune asks Weiss out to the dance, but is predictably turned down. The episode then pauses for a commercial break, where Pyrrha (very reluctantly) advertises Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes, followed by Roman and Neo advertising Neo's Neo, an ice cream flavor (which contains poison). When the show resumes, Sun successfully asks Blake out to the dance, but he ends up dragged away by a jealous Neptune. Nora and the rest of Team JNPR then burst in with a huge pile of pancakes. The episode ends with Ruby thanking the studio audience (which, along with the crew, consists of shadow people) for attending and promises to return next season.

Note: The skit plays out as if it were a sitcom filmed in front of a live studio audience, with a laughter track and audience reactions. The episode's title is a reference to the titles of the episodes in Friends, and the intro music to the sitcom scenes is done in the music style used in Seinfeld.
