The following is a list of North Dakota numbered highways. North Dakota is a state located in the Midwestern region of the United States, along the Canada–US border. The state is bordered by Manitoba and Saskatchewan to the north, Minnesota to the east, South Dakota to the south, and Montana to the west. The major Interstate Highways are Interstate 29 and Interstate 94, which meet in Fargo. I-29 is oriented north to south along the eastern edge of the state, and I-94 bisects the state from east to west between Minnesota and Montana.

Comparison of the previous and new versions of the North Dakota highway route maker

North Dakota highway signage previously had an N and a D in the top corners and a Native American profile, based on Lakota policeman Marcellus Red Tomahawk,[3][4] but a new sign design debuted in 2016 with "North Dakota" on a black background, the state in outline, and the highway number within the state outline, after a decision in 2015 by the North Dakota Department of Transportation to change the marker.[5]
