Tropical Storm Vamei near the equator in December 2001
This is a dynamic list and may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness. You can help by expanding it with reliably sourced entries.

This is a list of all tropical cyclones that have existed between 3°N and 3°S of the equator. Tropical cyclones are relatively rare in this region, particularly outside of the Northwestern Pacific Ocean. This is primarily due to a weak Coriolis effect within the region, and only twenty-one known storms have formed since records began.
