Lidia Isac (Russian: Лидия Исак, born 27 March 1993) is a Moldovan singer. She represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Falling Stars".[1]

Life and career

Isac was born on 27 March 1993 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She was raised in Moldova, and studied to become a journalist before embarking on a singing career. She worked as a journalist reporting on the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. Isac was previously a member of the duo Glam Girls and had attempted to represent Moldova in 2013, 2014, 2015 as a member of the duo. In 2016, she competed as a solo artist and won.[2] On May 10, 2016, she performed "Falling Stars" on the first semi final of Eurovision, but failed to qualify to the May 14 final. She recorded a French version entitled "Pluie d'étoiles".

She is attempting to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in a duet with Italian singer Daniele Guastella with the song, "The Life Beyond".[3]
