Lee Barkell

Lee Barkell is a Canadian retired pair skater who now works as a figure skating coach. During his competitive career, he was a pair skater and competed with Melanie Gaylor.

He coached all levels at the Mariposa School of Skating in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, where he was the director of pair skating. His past students include Jeffrey Buttle, Christopher Mabee, Meagan Duhamel, Ryan Arnold, Anabelle Langlois & Cody Hay, Nobunari Oda, Carolyn MacCuish & Andrew Evans, Jacinthe Larivière & Lenny Faustino, and Joey Russell.

In the summer of 2014, Barkell moved to Toronto and started coaching at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club where he coaches pair team Lubov Iliushechkina & Dylan Moscovitch, and Patrick Myzyk.[1][2] In April 2015, he became the head coach of Gabrielle Daleman as well.[3]
