Kulice [kuˈlit͡sɛ] (German Külz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nowogard, within Goleniów County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) east of Nowogard, 28 km (17 mi) north-east of Goleniów, and 49 km (30 mi) north-east of the regional capital Szczecin.

The village contains a manor-house which belonged to the family of the statesman Otto von Bismarck until 1945 (the area belonged to Germany, as part of the Prussian Province of Pommern). After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.

In 1994/95 the manor-house was refurbished by the European Academy Külz-Kulice Foundation, which was founded by Philipp von Bismarck. In 2002 the University of Szczecin acquired the manor-house gratuitously and established a conference centre in cooperation with Bismarck's European Academy. The University revoked the cooperation in 2012 and ceased the project.[2][3]
