Kochadhaman (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: कोचाधामिन विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Kishanganj district in the Indian state of Bihar.

Overview

As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No 55 Kochadhamin (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Kochadhamin community development block; Belwa, Gachhpara, Chakla, Mehangaon, Daula and Pichhla gram panchayats of Kishanganj CD Block.[1]

Kochadhaman (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No 10 Kishanganj (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]

Election results

2010

In the November 2010 state assembly elections, Akhtarul Iman of RJD won the newly created Kochadhaman assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Mujahid Alam of Janata Dal (United).[2]

2015

BJP has fielded Abdul Rahman from Kochadhaman assembly constituency.[3][4] Telangana Legislative Assembly floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi addressed a public rally in Kishanganj on October 4 in Sontha village under Kochadhaman (Vidhan Sabha constituency). AIMIM has fielded its State President Akhtarul Iman from Kochadhaman assembly constituency who is the sitting MLA from this constituency.[5][6][7]
