The parish of Kilbrin (Irish: Cill Bhrain), once an independent parish, but now joined to the parish of Ballyclough, derives its name from an early church site or monastery namely Cill Bhrain, i.e. the church of St. Bran.[1]

The parish is located in the barony of Duhallow, County Cork, Ireland. The following map shows the outline of the parish and its townlands. (http://www.kilbrin.net/KilbrinMap.html)

Archbishop Thomas Croke, whom Croke Park stadium was named after, was born in Castlecor (parish of Kilbrin).
