Kazakh National Academy of Arts

The Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.K. Zhurgenov is the main theatre, film, dramatic and fine arts and design school in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The Academy (Kazakh: Т. Қ. Жүргенов атындағы Қазақ ұлттық өнер академиясы) began as the theatrical faculty of the Kurmangazy Institute of Arts, today National Conservatory, in 1955.[1][2][3] It was named after Temirbek Zhurgenov (1898-1939)[4] in 1989.[5]
