Karadiya Rajputs

The Karadiya Rajputs (sometimes spelled Karadia) are an Indian caste belonging to the Rajput community. They are primarily found in the Saurashtra, Kutch and other region of Gujarat, India. They are included in the backward class in Gujarat.[1]

The Karadiya Rajputs are classified as karadiya because they have paid tax; "kar + diya" means "gave the tax".

In Saurashtra and Kutchh; out of 36 rajput rajvansh (clan), some rajvansh/ rajput branches like Dodiya, Dahima, Mori, Bhatti (Bhati), Tuvar (Tanwar), Jadav, Sindhav (Sendhav), Nakum (Nikumbh), Padhiyar (Parihar) etc. found in only & only karadiya rajput/ nadoda rajput. Dodiya of sardargadh state (rajasthan) and piploda state (madhya pradesh) are basically from junagadh (saurashtra). Later they had migrated from junagadh (saurashtra). King Aparji Dodiya was karadiya rajput and he was chief sardar of Ra mandlik (a chudasama king) who was king of junagadh. Mori rajputs have association with the great maharaja bappa rawal of mewar; because Mori rajputs are maternal uncle (mama) of bappa rawal.Mori rajputs are found in saurashtra, kutch, rajasthan and uttar pradesh. Bhatti(bhati) rajputs and Jadav rajputs are yaduvanshi rajputs and they are descendants of lord shri krishna. Bhatti (bhati) rajputs are found in Gujarat, rajasthan, uttar pradesh ( gokul- mathura). The word Jadav has been derived from Jadu/Yadu. Jadav rajputs are found in saurashtra and rajasthan. Mahaveer ramdevji maharaj (rama- peer) was Tanwar (Tuvar is apbhransh/ synonyms word of Tanwar). Anang pal Tanvar (Tuvar) was king of delhi. Tuvar (Tanvar) rajputs are found in saurashtra, rajasthan etc. Sindhav rajputs are descendants of King Pushpadev sendhav (sindhav), who was also famous rajput king of saurashtra. Nakum is apbhransh/synonyms of nikumbh. Nakum (Nikumbh) rajputs are found in saurashtra, rajasthan etc. Dahima branch of rajput is also found in saurashtra, kutch and in rajasthan. Padhiyar(parihar) rajputs are agnivanshi rajputs.The Padhiyar Rajputs are found in Pingalgarh(their origin place), Rajasthan, saurashtra and Gujarat region. Padhiyar Rajput are Suryavanshi Rajput. They are descendants of Lord Prabhu Shree Ram and lord lakshamanji.
