KPRR, known as "Power 102 FM", is a Rhythmic Top 40 radio station based in El Paso, Texas. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and broadcasts at 102.1 MHz on the FM dial with an effective radiated power of 100 kW from a transmitter in the Franklin Mountains. Its studios are located along Mesa Drive in west central El Paso. They are also one of two Rhythmic Top 40s in the market; XHTO is the other.

Rhythmic Oldies "Hot 93.5" can be heard on 102.1 HD-2 (HD Radio needed).[1]

History

KPRR, who made its debut with the format in September 1986 and patterned it after that of KPWR/Los Angeles, offers a more broad-based direction in its musical taste than most of the other Rhythmic Top 40 in the United States with its mix of R&B/Hip-Hop, Dance, Hurban and Rhythmic Pop fare. Prior to that, the station (formerly KLOZ, or K102) aired a country & western format.
