Junipero Serra High School is a public high school situated in the community of Tierrasanta within the city of San Diego, California. It is named for Junípero Serra, a Spanish missionary who founded Mission San Diego and other settlements in what is now California. It is nearly adjacent to Murphy Canyon, a large military housing community. It is a traditional school and part of the San Diego City Schools.

Serra uses High School Reform/Small Learning Communities to enable personalized instruction drawing on ongoing data collection and team-teaching.

Athletics programs
In the 2011-2012 season, the girls Basketball team won San Diego CIF by defeating West Hills High School. Varsity Girls Soccer also won a CIF Div. 2 Championship in 2013. The Serra Football program also has won 5 total league championships, in . 1999, 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2013. They are currently in the City League.

Rivalry
Serra High Schools most well-known rival is Patrick Henry High School. The Serra Basketball Team/Football Team have competed against each other every year. Since 2013, the Serra Basketball has went undefeated against Patrick Henry. The Field Hockey team, however, is most known for having a rivalry with Scripps Ranch High School which is right up the 15 freeway. The Serra Field Hockey team is among the best high school programs in the nation, accruing dozens of league titles and CIF Chanpionships.
As well as outside rivalries, inside the school a heated hat rivalry between the "JAH" Hat corporation and the "SPARA BOYZ" swept the school during the second semester of the 2015-2016 school year. However this rivalry has since ended as the hat lines on both sides have been inactive for a period of time. However, Co-Founder of JAH, Hunter Williams states the JAH will "be making a comeback soon"
