Juliet Aykroyd

Juliet Aykroyd is a British actress and writer. She is best known for her TV appearances as Thelma's colleague Anthea in Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? (1974), and as Linda in Open All Hours (1976).[1][2] One of Aykroyd's earliest appearances on stage was in Hang Down Your Head and Die (1963), with future Monty Python stars Michael Palin and Terry Jones.[3]

Work away from acting

As well as appearances on stage and screen Aykroyd has worked as a tutor and director at RADA. She has written plays and poetry, and produced a student guide on how to act in a Shakespeare production. In 2013 she wrote Darwin & Fitzroy, a play charting the working relationship between Charles Darwin and Captain Fitzroy on the famous voyage on HMS Beagle.[4][5][6][7]
