Julia Ducournau (born 18 November 1983) is a French film director and screenwriter. She attended La Fémis and studied screenwriting. In 2011, her short film Junior won the Petit Rail d'Or at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.[1]

Her 2016 film Raw was screened in the International Critics' Week section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.[2] The project had been developed through the TorinoFilmLab Framework programme in 2013. In October 2016, Raw won the Sutherland Award for Best First Feature at the London Film Festival. [3]
