John "Jack" Walton was a professional rugby league footballer of the 1900s and 1910s playing at club level for Wakefield Trinity (Heritage #115), as a Prop, or Second-row, i.e. number 8 or 10, or, 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.[1]

Jack Walton played Left-Second-row, i.e. number 11, in Wakefield Trinity's 17-0 victory over Hull in the 1909 Challenge Cup final during the 1908–09 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Tuesday 20 April 1909.[2]

Joseph Taylor played Right-Prop, i.e. number 10 in Wakefield Trinity's 8-2 victory over Huddersfield in the 1910 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1910–11 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 3 December 1910.
