Joanne Tseng (Chinese:曾之喬, born 17 November 1988), nicknamed "Qiao Qiao" (喬喬), is a Taiwanese actress and singer.

Early life

Joanne was born on November 17, 1988 in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan and has an older sister(曾之萦). Both of her parents are teachers.

Her family are from the Atayal tribe of indigenous Taiwanese aboriginals.

Joanne studied at the National Taiwan University of Arts with a Drama & Theater degree, she can also play the piano, flute and violin.

Career

In 2002, Joanne along with Esther Liu formed a Mandopop duo girl group called Sweety and they debuted in 2003, at the time of their debut both members were only 14 years old. Sweety were active from 2003 to 2006 and so far the duo has released 3 studio albums and 2 soundtracks, but Sweety went on hiatus as a group since 2007 when member Esther went to Paris to study for a few years, while Joanne has since continued with her solo career. As of 2016, Sweety still remain inactive as a group as both members have been focusing on their solo careers since their hiatus in 2007.

Apart from singing, both members have also acted in movies and TV series, since her debut Joanne has appeared and starred in a long list of TV series/dramas in Taiwan and mainland China. Joanne is currently signed with HIM International Music.
