Joanna Estep

Joanna Estep is an illustrator, writer and cartoonist best known for her recent graphic novel Roadsong with writer Allan Gross, published in 2006 by Tokyopop. A recent graduate with degrees in graphic design and Japanese Language, her personal passion for comic books led her to pursue skills and knowledge in the realm of comic making and sequential art. Her other credentials include publication in comic anthologies such as Four Stories, Fractured Kisses, Zacherley's Midnite Terrors, and 21st Century Romances". The second volume of Roadsong is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2006.

Joanna wrote and designed the textbook Timing: Expressions of Time in Sequential Art and Design, which received the Charles Logan Smith award for excellence in design, as was serialized online in February 2006 on Newsarama.com.

In 2006, Joanna formalized a long-running collaboration with designer Carolyn Dew to start the calendar publisher Milktooth Press.

She is also a member of Insight Studios.
