Jeffrey S. Guice (born December 22, 1959) is an American Republican politician of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.[1] Since 2008, he has been a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 114th District.[2][3] He has listed his profession as real estate broker.[4]

He is the chair of the Interstate Cooperation Committee and also sits on the committees for;

Guice is among a group of lawmakers who in 2016 were camping on state-owned property at the Mississippi Fairgrounds, according to members of the group and observations by the Jackson Clarion-Ledger. They called themselves the "Camper Caucus." [1]

On June 27th, 2016 Guice responded to a constituent email from Nicole Nichols, asking for help in obtaining her diabetic daughter's insulin pump supplies after the supplies ceased to be covered by Medicare from most suppliers in her state, by saying "I am sorry for your problem. Have you thought about buying the supplies with money that you earn?"[6]

Guice was quoted in a Clarion-Ledger feature column as among Mississippi lawmakers who "say the damnedest things," as follows:

"I was no angel." — state Rep. Jeffrey Guice, R-Ocean Springs, talking about his days as a high school athlete when, he said, those who didn't play sports were considered "hippies."[7]
