Jasmin Savoy Brown is an American actress best known for her roles as Nina on Freeform's Stitchers and Evangeline "Evie" Murphy on HBO's The Leftovers.

Life and Career

Brown was born in Alameda, California but raised in Springfield, Oregon.[1] At age four, Brown had her first role in a church musical which sparked her love of performing. Growing up, she participated in numerous musicals and was a member of various musical clubs, choirs and groups, some of which include University of Oregon, Portland Shakespeare Project, Art's Umbrella, Oregon Children's Choir, and Up Start Crow Studios.

Following high school, Brown moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue acting.[2] Brown began with minor roles in NBC's Grimm and Freeform's The Fosters. She then went on to star in indies Camp Harlow and Forgotten Hero, and a guest starring role on NBC's Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

In 2015, Brown landed the recurring role of Evangeline "Evie" Murphy in season 2 and season 3 of HBO's The Leftovers.[3][4] Evie is the daughter of Erika and John who goes missing with her friends after an earthquake.[5] Following The Leftovers, Brown was cast as Nina, Cameron's new girlfriend, on Freeform's Stitchers.[6]

Brown will next be seen in Before You Say I Do opposite Becca Tobin and Denzel Whitaker, and the indies Newly Single, Ten Dollar Bill and Lane 1974.[7]
