Jan Becaus

Jean-Marie "Jan" Becaus (born 18 July 1948 in Ghent) is a former Flemish journalist. He was known as a news presenter in Het Journaal for the Flemish public broadcaster (VRT), a job he held for 28 years. In 2014 he became a co-opted senator for the New Flemish Alliance.[1]

In the press Jan Becaus has been called one of "white rabbits" (wit konijn)[2]

As a journalist, he specialised in the Belgian monarchy and in religious (Catholic) topics.
