Jamník is a village and municipality in the Spišská Nová Ves District in the Košice Region of east central Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1277.

Geography

The village lies at an altitude of 460 meters (1,510 feet) and covers an area of 8.14 km2 (3.14 sq mi). Jamník is 7 km (4.3 mi) east of Spišská Nová Ves on highway 536. In 2011 had a population of 1123 inhabitants.
