Jamie Scallion

Jamie Scallion is a British songwriter and author of The Rock 'n' Roll Diaries.^[1]

Scallion grew up in South East London. As the lead singer of the cult London rock band Officer Kicks^[2] he played and recorded for over ten years, playing with some of the biggest names in the music industry.

He wrote the first instalment of The Rock 'n' Roll Diaries whilst on tour. The book has received over two hundred five star reviews on Amazon^[3] since its release and been number one on the Amazon bestseller list on numerous occasions. The books have been translated into German, Dutch and French.^[4] Scallion co-wrote the soundtrack for the book with the Irish band The Script and hit songwriter/producer - James Barry.^[5][6][7] Since being released exclusively on Spotify the tracks have been streamed over a million times.

He has written articles for The Sun Newspaper,^[8] Cambridge Evening News^[9] and is an ambassador for National Literacy Trust. Currently he is working alongside the Literacy Trust on a lyrics based programme aimed at teenagers, delivering songwriting workshops in schools all over the country.

Along with his brother Alexander Wolfe and Ben Roulston he is one third of a songwriting/production team working from his recording studio in East London. The team have worked with a host of artists including Florence and the Machine, The Script, Wolf Alice, Jamie Cullum, Laura Welsh and Luke Friend.

Jamie Scallion's Great Grandfather is the author James Louis Garvin. His step grandfather is the French politician Count François de Menthon.
