James DeMone (born July 1, 1982) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey defenceman. He was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the ninth round (283rd overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

Born in 1982 in St. Albert, Alberta, DeMone played four seasons (1998 - 2002) of major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League with the Portland Winter Hawks and Prince Albert Raiders. He then played the 2002-03 season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Drayton Valley Thunder before making his professional debut in the ECHL with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies near the end of their 2002–03 season. DeMone bounced around the minor leagues, including playing 55 American Hockey league games with the Manitoba Moose during the 2005–06 season,[1] before hanging up his skates following the 2006-07 season.

DeMone is a constable in the Canine Unit for the Lethbridge Regional Police Service and also serves as police liaison to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.[2]
