Jack Avon is the author of "The Handbook of Financial Modeling" and "The Basics of Financial Modeling" which were published by Apress in New York on November 30th 2013 and November 2014 respectively [1] and is an expert in financial modelling based in London in the United Kingdom.[2][3]

Early life and education

Jack Avon was born Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia in March 1967 where he lived until 1976 then moving with his family to the United Kingdom in June 1976. In March 1977 Jack moved to Hong Kong with his family due to his fathers work spending a year in Hong Kong and attended Quarry bay school and Peak school. In September 1978 Jack returned to the United Kingdom to attend Clayesmore Preparatory school in Dorset and then went to Clayesmore School. Jack completed his higher education in Bournemouth University and then Royal Holloway, University of London.

Jack has been an active sportsman playing both Rugby and Hockey and apart from representing his school at all age groups in Rugby, Hockey and Cricket Jack has played for a number of rugby clubs including Bournemouth RFC, Old Grammarians RFC, Purley RFC, Saracen FC and HKFC. Jack has also represented Dorset & Wilts and Hong Kong at rugby on a number of occasions. In hockey Jack has played for Poole HC, Valley Hockey, Surbition HC. Jack has also represented Dorset & Wilts and The West of England.
