Ivan Ramesis Perez Mayrina (born December 23, 1976) is a Filipino broadcaster, journalist, reporter and news anchor currently working in GMA Network.[1]

Biography

Mayrina was hailed from Angeles City in the province of Pampanga. He took up BA Communication Research at the College of Mass Communication in University of the Philippines Diliman, and graduated on April 1997. [2] He started his broadcasting career at GMA Network in 2000 with other known news personalities like Pia Arcangel, Connie Sison and Raffy Tima. Prior to his work in GMA Network, he was once a training officer at Ayala Life Insurance, Inc. in 1997. He is best known for being a host of the GMA News and Public Affairs shows 100% Pinoy and Pinoy Abroad, and a news anchor of QTV's News on Q (now GMA News TV) - all of which he was partnered with Rhea Santos. Aside from being a regular reporter of GMA News, he is currently a host and segment producer of the morning show Unang Hirit, and a news anchor of GMA Flash Report and News TV Live. In May 2015, Mayrina is set to anchor GMA Newsfeed, an interactive newscast which will be broadcast nightly at 9PM on GMA News' Facebook page.[3]
