Independent Commission for Aid Impact

The Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI) is an independent non-departmental public body tasked with the scrutiny of British foreign aid.[1]

Launched in 2011 by International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell, the body scrutinises and reports on the effectiveness of the British foreign aid budget focussing on the work of the Department for International Development (DFID).[2] The ICAI reports to the House of Commons through the International Development Select Committee.
