Hensbroek, churchtower

Hensbroek is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Koggenland, and lies about 4 km east of Heerhugowaard.

Hensbroek was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1979, when it was merged with Obdam.[1]

In 2001, the village of Hensbroek had 758 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.23 km², and contained 284 residences.[2] The statistical area "Hensbroek", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1330.[3]
