Harry John Anderson (born 9 January 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Lincoln City on loan from Peterborough United.

Career

Youth career

Anderson began his professional career in the youth ranks of Crawley Town, joining in the summer of 2013. The midfielder spent a single season with the Red Devils before the youth team was disbanded and subsequently moved to Peterborough United in July 2014, joining the Under-18s.

Peterborough United

He made his first team debut on 28 February 2015, coming on as a late substitute in a 2-0 home win against Bradford City.[4] Anderson was later named as Peterborough United Young Player of the Year for the 2014-15 season, shortly after extending his stay at the Posh with a new contract.[5]

He recorded two assists against former club Crawley Town in August 2015, during a 2-0 victory.[6] His final appearance to date for the League One club came in October 2015, when he came off the bench in a 1-1 draw with Port Vale.[7]

Braintree Town (loan)

In January 2016, Anderson had his first loan spell away from Peterborough, joining National League side Braintree Town for the remainder of the season.[7] His debut came in a 1-0 defeat to Forest Green Rovers on 23 January, but he made his final appearance for the club just three days in a 1-0 victory over Wrexham.[8][9] His loan spell was later terminated by the club.

St Albans City (loan)

Anderson signed for St. Albans City in February 2016, just one day after his departure from the Iron. He made the loan move alongside Peterborough United teammate Jonathan Edwards.[10] Scoring twice in six appearances through March, he was later named as the club's Player of the Month.[11]

Lincoln City (loan)

On 16 August 2016, Anderson joined National League club Lincoln City on a youth loan until 1 January.[12] The move saw him reunited with manager Danny Cowley, who previously signed Anderson on loan at Braintree Town.[13] He made his debut in a 1-0 defeat to Dagenham & Redbridge the same day, and scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win at Macclesfield Town on 27 August.[14]
