Guriqbal Kaur is an Indian politician from the state of Punjab and a member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly.[1]
Constituency
Kaur represents the Nawan Shahr Assembly Constituency of Punjab.[2]
Political Party
Kaur is a member of the Indian National Congress.[3][4]
He was one of the 42 INC MLAs who submitted their resignation in protest of a decision of the Supreme Court of India ruling Punjab's termination of the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) water canal unconstitutional.[5]
Personal life
Kaur's was married to Parkash Singh who was a member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly from 2002 to 2007 from the Nawan Shahr Assembly Constituency of Punjab. The same seat was given to her after his demise in 2010.
