The Grand Lodge Alpina of Switzerland (German: Schweizerische Grossloge Alpina) is one of the Grand Lodges of Freemasons in Switzerland.[1] It was founded in 1844[2] and is recognised by the United Grand Lodge of England.[3] As of 2008 the Grand Lodge lists 4,000 members and 83 lodges under its jurisdiction.[4]

Although traditionally linked to the Continental Freemasonry of the Grand Orient de France they became closer to the United Grand Lodge of England after World War II. This led to the defection of members who ultimately set up the Grand Orient de Suisse.[5]
