Government College of Engineering and Research, Avasari Khurd, Pune is a Maharashtra state government engineering college established in the year 2009. The college is situated in the village of Avasari Khurd, 3 kilometers from a town Manchar on the Pune-Nashik highway, 65 kilometers from Pune.
ACTIVITY National Sports Day Celebration: 29 August Birth-anniversary of greatest Hockey player Dhyan Chand is observed as National Sports Day throughout the country. This year GCOEARA continued the tradition of celebrating NSD under the initiation of Sports Secretary Bharat Jadhav. Various Events such as Marathon, Tug-of-war and Sports quiz were conducted on the occasion. No. of students enthusiastically took part in all the events. Tug of war was won by Automobile Dept. whereas, Quiz competition was won by Mechanical Dept. Our college Baja Team 'Flamos Mavericks' has once again succeeded to cruise through Virtual Baja round. Team has qualified for Main Event. Out of 400 teams participating this year, 120 are shortlisted for Main Event to be held in Pithampur, Indore. Now great challenge infront of team is to manufacture the vehicle as per the design. Congratulations to all team members and Best of Luck !!
