Gandhinagar Rendava Veedhi (English: Gandhinagar 2nd Street) is a 1987 Telugu, comedy film, produced by on Suseela Arts banner and directed by P. N. Ramachandra Rao. Starring Rajendra Prasad, Chandra Mohan, Sarath Babu, Jaya Sudha, Gautami in the lead roles and music composed by G. Anand.[2] The film is first debut to actress Gautami into the film industry. The film is remake of Malayalam film Gandhinagar 2nd Street (1986).[3]

Plot

Prasad (Chandra Mohan) is trying to get a job for his unemployed friend Prabhu (Rajendra Prasad), when a spate of robberies taking place in a middle-class colony Gandhinagar 2nd street neighbourhood where his office is located, Prasad has Prabhu poses as Raam Singh, a Nepali émigré, to fulfil the residents' need for a Gorkha (security guard). Sharada (Jaya Sudha) a teacher in the colony whose husband Ravi (Sarath Babu) is working in Dubai. Prabhu takes care Sharada as his own sister. A police officer (Ranganath) and his daughter Geeta (Gauthami) move into the neighbourhood, bringing back memories from the past for Prabhu. Rest of the what was the relation between Prabhu & Geetha and whether their love becomes true or not.
