Galaga Legions is an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive video game created by Namco Bandai Games.[1] The title was developed by the same team who created Pac-Man Championship Edition. This game is also included in the Namco Museum Virtual Arcade collection, and in Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions for Nintendo 3DS. A DX version of the game was released on Xbox Live Arcade as part of the Namco Generations series on June 29, 2011, with the PlayStation Network version released in August 2, 2011.

Gameplay

Like Pac-Man Championship Edition, it is an enhanced remake of the classic Namco arcade title. Unlike the latter title however, the gameplay is completely different from the original Galaga. Legions features new game mechanics, the most notable of which being the inclusion of two satellites; players deploy these satellites by tilting the right analog stick in any cardinal direction. The satellite will then remain fixed in place and shoot in whichever direction the player tilted. The game features five areas which can be traversed in either of two modes. The first mode is an arcade-like "Adventure Mode," where the player plays each level consecutively and must restart from the beginning after losing all of his/her ships. The second mode is "Championship Mode," where the player chooses one individual level to play in a high-score competition.
