Autumn meeting was to have been commenced at Caulfield yesterday, but at a meeting of the Victorian Cabinet it was decided that owing to the coal shortage caused by the strike of ships' stewards, the embargo on racing was to continue in force. Following upon this announcement the committee of the V.A.T.C. decided to postpone indefinitely the meeting which had been fixed for yesterday.
