Fujian SBS Zipper Science & Technology Co.Ltd(Chinese: 福建浔兴拉链科技股份有限公司) is China's largest zipper manufacturing company, and the second largest zipper manufacturer in the world following YKK holdings of Japan,.[1] The firm was founded in 1984, and has its headquarters in Jinjiang, in the Fujian Province of China. The company was founded in 1984.[2][3]

Its shares have been listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since December 2006[4] under the code 002098.SZ.[5][6]

History

The parent brand SBS was established in 1984 as the Jinjiang Hualian Zipper Factory. Over the next nine years five hardware factory divisions in Jinjiang were established, including meal casting, precision mould and hardware product. In 1995, it became the Fujian SBS Corporation Group .was established. in 1998m, the SBS zipper Production Corporation Limite based in Shanghai In 1999, the compay expanded toHong Kong, by founding SBS Corporation, and China Zipper Center was established at the Fujian Baser.

By 2002, the company was already well known in China, and became the Fujian SBS Zipper Science and Technology Corporation Limited. In 2004, the company gained recognition from the Torch Program as a key high-tech enterprise. In 2006, the company became listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In 2007, it received the "green channel" by being listed as a National Product, henceforth exempt from Quality Surveillance Inspection. In 2007 and 2008 further branches were established in Dongguan, Tianjin, and Chengdu. In 2008, the company participated in their first press conference on zipper fashion trends for a global audience.

The National Enterprise Patent work exchange station was also established. In 2011, the company was recognized as an innovative enterprise and in the following became the Exclusive National Laboratory in the Chinese zipper industry. The company obtained high-tech enterprise recognition, which gave it the privilege of enjoying a tax preference rate of 15 percent for three years over 2014 to 2016.[7]

Products

The company's products include plastic zippers, metal zippers, coil zippers, sliders & pullers, waterproof zippers and a variety of zippers by use. The company has applied for many patents in its field.[8][9][10] The company exports 30% of its output, and has a presence in over 80 countries across the world. Group sales are over US$45 million.[11] The products are distributed both in the domestic and foreign markets under the SBS brand.The company produces of 50 million yards of zipper chain, 650 tons of sliders, 56 million completed zippers each month.

Besides its products, it markets its design development, materials management, quality assurance and product engineering procedures.

Team

The SBS brand has ten facilities across that cover 130,000 square meters, with more than 4,500 workers at their facilities. The five bases at Shanghai, Dongguan, Tianjin, Chengdu and Hong Kong Zipper Business Department answer to headquarters at Fujian SBS Base. Since 2015, Nengkeng Shi has been the Chairman of the Board, and Mr Mingqu Shi has been the President and Director.[12]
