Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves

Fritz Breithaupt (5 September 1892 – 25 December 1944) was a German naval officer with the Kriegsmarine during World War II. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, awarded by Nazi Germany to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. He was stationed in the Channel Islands during their occupation and was killed in late 1944 when he was shot down on a risky flight back to Germany.
