Friends of Beer Party (Czech: Strana Přátel Piva, abbreviated SPP) was a political party in the Czech Republic. It was meant to be a recession that reacts to a large number of new political parties but decided to run in election as the party gained much public attention. The party reached its peak in 1992 when received 1.3% but still failed to reach the threshold.[2] The party was active in 1990s until merged with ČSSD in 1998. Former members of the party created a Friends of Beer Club within ČSSD. SPP currently continues its activities as Friends of Beer Association.[3][4]
