Fly Project is a Romanian dance, trance and latin pop band from Bucharest, Romania, being formed by Tudor Ionescu and Dan Denes.[1] Following achieving commercial success in Europe with selected releases, the band was nominated for MTV Europe Music Award for Best Romanian Act in 2011.[2] Since the musical group's foundation in 2005, they had more than 2,000 concerts worldwide.[3]

Career

Fly Project made its chart debut in 2005 with their debut single, "Raisa", which became a moderate success in Europe including, with it charting among others on the French Singles Chart and on native Romanian Top 100. Subsequently, their eponymous studio album was made available for digital consumption.[4] The record also included the Romanian language recording, "K-Tinne", which was a number one in Romania, thus reaching number fifty-two on the native 2007 Year-End Chart.

Following their short musical hiatus, the band released "Brasil", which similarly topped charts in Romania, Russia, Greece, Spain, Moldova, Turkey, the Netherlands, Serbia[4] and Hungary. Furthermore, the single was nominated for a Romanian Music Award.[5] Their song "Mandala" from 2011, reached for the first time a top-ten peak position in Russia and the later released song "Goodbye" was the most playied song in their native country in that year. It rose up to popularity in more countries and reached the first position in the Romanian Singles Chart and the fourth position in the Romanian End-Year Chart. "Musica" was released in 2013 and became the band's second most successful single. It was a top-ten hit in Italy and Russia and was certified gold by the FIMI.

Fly Project's most successful single is "Toca-Toca". It was shortly a global hit. The single reached the first position in two countries and the chart in over fifteen countries like France, Belgium and Spain. It was again certified gold in Italy.

Fly Project - "La Vita e Bella"

The autumn of 2014 started with great news for Fly Project. They won Best Dance Award, with 'Toca Toca', and the Border Breaker Award, for their International success, at the Romanian Music Awards, one of the most important events in the Romanian music industry. ESKA Awards is another big event, in the autumn of 2014, in Poland, at which Fly Project conquers the audience with their hits. Also, in September 2014 they attended at an important TV Show called "Jaka to melodia", an award for entertainment TV Show in Poland. In November 2014, Fly Project is present on the stage at Gran Canaria 40 Pop Fashion&Friends, an event of the network 40 Principales, in the Canary Islands. With over 40.000 attendees, this event resplendent in light, colour and music.

2015 has an amazing start with "Like a Star", Fly Project's new single that has great feedback and spreads very fast in radio & music charts worldwide. After continuing #MostWanted international tour, in June 2015, Fly Project releases worldwide a new single called "So High", which is a boom at all summer parties.

The 11th year (2016) of Fly Project comes with "Next To You", a feat with Last Night, a new group from Fly Records Family (*Fly Records is the label and studio of Fly Project). In March 2016, Tudor and Dan shoot a new video for their next single, a feat with Misha, a Romanian artist well known for her international hit "Tenerife", a feat with DJ Sava. The new single FLY PROJECT feat Misha is called "Jolie" and will be promoted worldwide this Spring. In the fall of 2016, Fly Project launched their latest single "Butterfly", a surprise featuring with one of the most famous romanian singers, Andra.
