Fantasea Adventure Cruising is an Australian ferry operator.

History

Fantasea Adventure Cruising was founded in 1982 by David Hutchen. Initially operating in the Whitsunday Islands, it later commenced operations on Magnetic Island, Pittwater and Sydney Harbour. In March 2006 the business was sold to Riverside Marine.[1][2]

Fantasea Adventure Cruising (Sydney)

Fantasea Adventure Cruising [3] is a tour and transport operation based on Sydney Harbour. It operates tourist services both on Sydney Harbour and beyond Sydney Heads to Bondi Beach. Until 2014, Fantasea operated Fantasea Crystal and Fantasea Spirit under contract on Sydney Ferries Parramatta River services.[4]

It operates seven vessels:

Fantasea Cruising Palm Beach

Fantasea Cruising Palm Beach[14] operstes ferry services from Palm Beach to Wagstaff, Ettalong, Coasters Retreat, The Basin, Currawong and Mackerel Beach.

Fantasea Palm Beach also operates seasonal whale watching during two windows in the Humpback Whale's migration along the eastern coast of Australia. These are mid-June to mid-July and October to early November. Services run from Palm Beach and Ettalong.

It operates four vessels:

Fantasea Cruising Magnetic

Fantasea Cruising Magnetic[20] operates ferry service services from Townsville to Magnetic Island with three vessels.

Fantasea Whitsunday Islands

Fantasea previously had an operation in the Whitsunday Islands. This was sold in June 2012 to Cruise Whitsunday.[22][23][24]
