Exhibition Centre Liverpool is a state-of-the-art, 8,100m2 purpose-built exhibition centre and is part of The ACC Liverpool Group’s family of world class venues along with interconnected sister venues BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena. In March 2011 plans were announced to build a new waterfront exhibition and events complex as an extension to The ACC Liverpool Group’s existing offer. At an investment of £40m, the project was set to position Liverpool in the premier league of convention and exhibition cities in the UK.

In October 2012, world renowned construction services company ISG, known for its prestigious work on the London 2012 Velodrome, was granted the contract to deliver the construction of the project. While Pullman was selected as the hotel brand, Branded Hotel Management (BHM) was appointed as the preferred operator for the 216 room 'headquarters' hotel.

Work began on Exhibition Centre Liverpool in January 2014 and Exhibition Centre Liverpool opened in September 2015. Pullman Liverpool opened in February 2016.
