The European Association of Healthcare IT Managers (HITM) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to unifying pan-European CIOs and IT Directors to improve healthcare quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, and access, through the best use of information technology and management systems. HITM includes more than 7,000 individual members and 29 national not-for-profit organizations. HITM is a registered non-profit under Belgian law.

History

HITM was set up in 2006 as the pan-European umbrella organisation of national healthcare IT associations.

HITM General Assembly and Board

The General Assembly gathers once per year in order to approve the actions of HITM. It elects as well every four years the board consisting of President, Vice-President, up to 6 board members. The Secretary General runs the Secretariat and assists the board in their day-to-day work.
