Estrone cyanate, or estrone 3-O-cyanate, is a semisynthetic, steroidal estrogen and an estrogen ester – specifically, the 3-O-cyanate ester of estrone – that was investigated for use in oral contraceptives but was found to be of relatively low potency and ultimately was never marketed.[1][2][3]
