Esther E. Manheimer is an American politician and attorney.[2] Elected in 2013, she is the current mayor of Asheville, North Carolina.[3] Manheimer previously served on the Asheville City Council from 2009 to 2013. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

In March of 2016, Manheimer spoke out against the controversial Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act, state legislation that eliminated anti-discrimination protections for the LGBT community.[4]
