Emmanuel Gigliotti (born 20 May 1987 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football forward who plays for Chongqing Lifan in the Chinese Super League.

Club career

Gigliotti made his debut in 2006 playing for Lamadrid of the Argentine 4th division. In 2007 he joined Argentinos Juniors of the Primera División but did not make any appearances for the club before leaving to join 2nd division side All Boys. During the 2008–09 season he was the top scorer for All Boys, helping them to remain a second tier club.

In 2009, he joined newly promoted Atlético Tucumán in the Primera División.[1] He made his debut for the club as a late substitute against Huracán on 3 September 2009. He made his first start for the club and scored his first goal for them on 7 November 2009 in a 4–2 win against Tigre. He scored on his next appearance, against River Plate on 15 November, but the game ended in a 1–3 defeat.

After a six-month period at Novara, the forward returned to Argentina re-joining All Boys, this time in the first division.[2][3]

In July 2013 Gigliotti signed with Boca Juniors. On October 6, he scored against River Plate in the Superclásico.

On 30 October 2014, Emmanuel scored his 19th and first international goal for Boca Juniors against Cerro Porteño for the Copa Sudamericana's quarter finals. Gigliotti has scored two international goals in Boca Juniors until November 2014. In the 2014 Copa Sudamericana, on the crucial semifinal return leg against rivals River Plate, Gigliotti failed a crucial penalty kick, and Boca crashed out to the eventual champions River Plate.

On 28 February 2015, Chinese Super League side Chongqing Lifan announced Gigliotti joined the club for one-year loan deal.[4]

International career

Gigliotti played his first game in the Argentina shirt against Brazil on September 14 for the 2011 Roca Cup. The first leg of that series ended 0-0.
