Emma Ruth Rundle is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and visual artist based in Los Angeles.[1] She has released two solo albums and is a member of Red Sparowes, Marriages, and Nocturnes.[1]
Career
Rundle was born and raised in Los Angeles together with her sister in a household where a lot of folk music was played.[2] Her debut solo album Some Heavy Ocean was released on May 20, 2014 through Sargent House.[3] It was co-produced by Chris Common and recorded as the Sargent House records studios. Rundle lived at the studio complex as an artist-in-residence for the period[2] The release was accompanied by a US tour with King Buzzo.[4] Rundle suffers from adenomyosis, which in part inspired the material on her second album, produced by Sonny DiPerri.[5] In October 2016 she released Marked for Death through Sargent House.[6] She cites Kate Bush and David Lynch as an influence.[2]
